Player Profiles: Defenders

CURTIS OBENG

On the 23rd June 2021, right back Curtis Obeng signed for Macclesfield FC. Obeng began his career at Manchester City before moving to Wrexham. After a successful stint at the club, Obeng was poached by then Premier League side Swansea City for a fee of £200,000. Unfortunately Obeng never made an appearance for ‘The Swans’ and spent 4 separate loans away from the club. After short stints for Macclesfield Town, Altrincham and Solihull Moors, Obeng retired from football in 2017. One year later, Obeng came out of retirement to play for Nuneaton Borough, spending time on loan at Ashton United and Grantham Town. After a short spell at Radcliffe, Macclesfield FC swooped for the experienced right back. On the 4th April 2022, it was announced that Curtis Obeng had been released by Macclesfield FC. Obeng made 12 appearances for the Silkmen. Obeng’s final appearance for the Silkmen came on the 8th January 2022 in Macclesfield FC’sco 2-4 defeat to Wythenshawe Town. On the 21st June 2022, Curtis Obeng signed for FC United Of Manchester. In July 2023, Curtis Obeng signed for Bury FC.

KIERAN KENNEDY

On the 4th June 2021, Kieran Kennedy made history and became the first ever player to sign for Macclesfield FC. Kennedy, an imposing centre back, started off his career at Manchester City before moving to Leicester City but was released without appearing for the first team. He made his first professional appearance for Scottish Premiership Side Motherwell, spending two seasons at the club before leaving via mutual consent. A short spell at AFC Fylde was next up before Kennedy signed for Macclesfield Town. His season at Macclesfield Town was a successful one, with the club winning the Conference National and being promoted into the Football League. Kennedy then left The Silkmen to join John Askey’s Shrewsbury Town, making the step up to League One football. Kennedy struggled to force his way into the side and moved to Conference National with Wrexham after only one appearance. Kennedy then re-joined John Askey again, this time at Port Vale and spent a short loan spell at his previous side Wrexham as well as a permanent spell at York City in the Conference North before signing for Macclesfield FC. On the 3rd September 2021, Robbie Savage announced that Kieran Kennedy would be leaving the club. On the 10th September 2021, Kennedy signed for Stockport Town. Kennedy made 5 appearances for Macclesfield FC before moving on.


AARON FLEMING

Attacking left back Aaron Fleming signed for Macclesfield FC on the 30th July 2021. Fleming, comfortable at either left back or left wing, began his youth career at Blackpool before joining AFC Fylde. As well as plying his trade in Gibraltar for the 2020/21 season, Fleming has previously played for Bamber Bridge, Padiham, Kendal Town, Droylsden, Abbey Hey and Prescot Cables. On the 12th October 2021, it was announced that Aaron Fleming had joined Barnoldswick Town on a permanent deal. Fleming started seven matches in his time at The Silkmen, making two further appearances from the bench. In December 2021, Fleming moved to Ramsbottom. In July 2022, Fleming joined Trafford FC. In May 2023, Aaron Fleming was released by Trafford FC. In June 2023, Aaron Fleming signed for City Of Liverpool. In October 2023, Aaron Fleming signed a dual registration deal with Wythenshawe Town (and City Of Liverpool) In January 2023, Aaron Fleming signed for Irlam. In August 2024, Aaron Fleming signed for Lancaster City. In November 2024, Aaron Fleming signed for City Of Liverpool. In February 2025, Aaron Fleming signed for AFC Blackpool. On the 24th July 2025, Aaron Fleming signed for Witton Albion.


ROCCO FREGAPANE

On the 22nd June 2021, Rocco Fregapane signed a first team contract with Macclesfield FC. The talented left back spent time at Huddersfield Town and Manchester United as a youngster, being capped for England under 15’s. Fregapane signed a professional contract with Macclesfield Town before they were wound up. Fregapane signed a deal with Witton Albion during the 2020/21 season but returned to Macclesfield signing for Macclesfield FC for the 2021/22 season. On the 4th April 2022, it was announced that Rocco Fregapane had been released by Macclesfield FC. Fregapane made 2 appearances for the Silkmen. Fregapane’s final appearance for the Silkmen came on the 2nd November 2021 in Macclesfield FC’s 3-2 win against Cheadle Heath Nomads in the Cheshire Senior Cup. In November 2022, Rocco Fregapane signed for Congleton Town. In July 2023, Rocco Fregapane signed for Knutsford FC.


ADAM OWEN

Adam Owen, a centre back, joined the club on the 4th June 2021 from Stockport County. After less than two months at the club and without making a competitive appearance, it was announced at Fans Forum, involving the Macclesfield FC owners and staff that Owen had been released. On the 2nd August 2021, Glossop North End announced the signing of the youngster. In November 2021, Owen signed for Northwich Victoria. On the 13th July 2022, Adam Owen joined Avro. In March 2023, Adam Owen signed for Wythenshawe Amateurs. In January 2025, Adam Owen signed for Stockport Town.



JOSH WOODCOCK

On the 17th June 2021, Josh Woodcock was announced as Macclesfield FC’s newest signing. Woodcock, a right back by trade, has experience with Rotherham United, Lincoln City at youth level and also had a short stint at Belper Town. At a fans forum in July 2021, it was announced that Woodcock had been released by Macclesfield FC without making a competitive appearance. After leaving Macclesfield FC, Woodcock re-signed for Belper Town. In January 2023, Josh Woodcock joined Cleethorpes Town on a one-month loan deal. In May 2023, Josh Woodcock signed for Ossett United.


SEKOUBA SANOGO

Sekouba Sanogo signed for Macclesfield FC on the 26th July 2021. Sanogo, who holds a dual nationality of Malian and French began his career in France for Blanc Mesnil. Sanogo initially signed a contract with Macclesfield FC Reserves team before impressing first team manager Danny Whitaker and being handed a first team contact at the leasing.com stadium. After 9 appearances for The Silkmen, on the 13th November 2021 it was announced that Sanogo had signed for Glossop North End on a permanent deal. In July 2023, Sekouba Sanogo signed for Wythenshawe Town. In August 2024, Sekouba Sanogo was released by Wythenshawe Town. In October 2024, Sekouba Sanogo re-signed for Wythenshawe Town and subsequently signed a dual registration deal with Wythenshawe Town and Abbey Hey. In November 2024, Sekouba Sanogo signed a permanent deal at Abbey Hey. In September 2025, Sekouba Sanogo signed for Barnoldswick Town. In November 2025, Sekouba Sanogo signed for Clitheroe.



EKOW COKER

On the 22nd June 2021, towering and imposing centre back Ekow Coker signed for Macclesfield FC. The tall defender, who is also renowned for his attacking prowess in the opposition box signed a one year deal at the club. Coker previously played for Enfield Town before making the move North to sign for Macclesfield FC. On the 5th November 2021, after 11 appearances for Macclesfield FC and scoring 1 goal, it was announced that Coker had joined Glossop North End on a month’s loan. On the 9th December 2021, Coker’s loan at Glossop North End was extended for a further two months. On the 4th February 2022, it was announced that Coker’s loan at Glossop North End had again been extended, this time for one additional month. After 12 appearances for Glossop North End, on the 25th February 2022, Coker joined Ashton United until the end of the 2021/22 season. On the 4th April 2022, it was announced that Ekow Coker had been released by Macclesfield FC. Coker made 11 appearances for the Silkmen, scoring once. On the 14th August 2022, Ekow Coker signed a non-contract deal at Workington AFC. On the 16th September 2022, Ekow Coker signed a permanent deal at Glossop North End. In November 2022, Ekow Coker signed for Guiseley. In February 2023, Ekow Coker signed for Clitheroe. In August 2023, Ekow Coker re-signed for Enfield Town. In November 2023, Ekow Coker joined Southern League Central Division One side Ware. In July 2024, Ekow Coker signed for Southern League Premier Central side Bedford Town. In February 2025, Ekow Coker signed for Southern League Division One Central side Kings Langley. In August 2025, Ekow Coker signed for Isthmian League Division One North side Walthamstow.


LOUIS SHEAD

Central defender Louis Shead signed a first team contract with Macclesfield FC on the 4th August 2021. Shead, previously of Tranmere Rovers captained the youth side during his time with the club before his release. Shead initially signed a contact with the Macclesfield FC Reserves side before making the step up to the Macclesfield FC first team. On the 27th October 2021, Shead signed a new contract with Macclesfield FC. On the 31st December 2021, after 12 appearances for the Silkmen, it was announced that Shead had signed a loan deal at Prescot Cables until the end of the 2021/22 season. On the 7th March 2022, after six appearances for Prescot Cables, Louis Shead was recalled by Macclesfield FC. Shead made 2 appearances on his return to Macclesfield FC before it was announced on the 18th March 2022, that Shead had re-joined Prescot Cables on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season. On the 4th April 2022, it was announced that Louis Shead had been released by Macclesfield FC. Louis Shead made 14 appearances for the Silkmen. On the 15th July 2022, Louis Shead signed for Bootle. On the 27th September 2022, Louis Shead re-signed for Prescot Cables on a permanent deal. In November 2022, Louis Shead featured for Litherland REMYCA. It is assumed that this deal was a dual registration deal with Prescot Cables. In March 2023, Louis Shead appeared from Prestwich Heys. Despite no official announcement, it is thought that Louis Shead’s dual registration with Litherland REMYCA had been transferred to Prestwich Heys.

TOM STEAD

On the 25th June 2021, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of defender Tom Stead. Stead a powerful centre back who is also proficient playing at right back, started off his career at Preston North End. A loan spell with Chorley was sandwiched in between time at Kendal Town and FC United Of Manchester for Stead before signing a one-year deal with Macclesfield FC. After starting three matches for the club, it was announced on the 3rd September 2021 that Tom Stead had left the club to join Longridge Town. In July 2023, Tom Stead signed for Ashton Athletic.

ALEX BRUCE

Experienced defender Alex Bruce signed for Macclesfield FC on the 12th August 2021. Bruce signed a deal at the club which as well as him playing, would also see him join the coaching staff at the Leasing.com stadium. Alex, son of Steve Bruce, has been capped for both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland national teams. Bruce has a wealth of experience, plying his trade in the English Championship and also the English Premier League for a number of sides, most notably Leeds United, Hull City and Ipswich Town. After 6 appearances for Macclesfield FC, on the 3rd February 2022, Bruce left the club to become first team coach at Championship side West Bromwich Albion. On the 10th October 2022, Alex Bruce was sacked by West Bromwich Albion, alongside his father Steve Bruce. On the 30th October 2023, Alex Bruce returned to Macclesfield FC, being appointed as the Silkmen’s new first team manager. On the 21st February 2024, after only 114 days as Macclesfield FC manager, Alex Bruce left his post to take over at League Two side Salford City as their new assistant manager. During his time as Macclesfield FC manager, Alex Bruce managed 22 matches, winning 15, drawing 3 and losing 4.

JACOB HANSON

Right back Jacob Hanson signed for Macclesfield FC on the 27th August 2021, signing a dual registration contract with FC United Of Manchester. Hanson spent time in his youth career at Huddersfield Town and Bradford City. Before joining Macclesfield FC, Hanson spent time with FC Halifax Town and Curzon Ashton. On the 18th September 2021, Robbie Savage announced via a Facebook Live on the Star Lane End Facebook group that Hanson had signed a deal solely with Macclesfield FC- he was previously on a dual registration deal with FC United Of Manchester. On the 15th March 2022, Hanson signed a new deal at Macclesfield FC until the end of the 2022/23 season, with the option of extending for an additional 12 months. At the time of his new contract, Hanson had featured 27 times for the Silkmen, scoring once as the Silkmen were crowned North West Counties Premier Division champions. After only 9 appearances for the Silkmen during the 2022/23 season, on the 3rd February 2023, it was announced that Jacob Hanson had joined Clitheroe on an initial one month loan. On the 3rd March 2023, Jacob Hanson’s loan at Clitheroe was extended until the end of the 2022/23 season. On the 6th May 2023, it was announced that Jacob Hanson had been released by Macclesfield FC. Jacob Hanson made 39 appearances for the Silkmen, scoring once. In June 2023, Jacob Hanson signed a permanent contract at Clitheroe.


SAMUEL JAMES

Macclesfield FC announced on the 27th August 2021 that Samuel James had joined the club on a dual registration with Southport. On the 18th September 2021, it was announced that James had returned to Southport. Samuel James made 1 appearance for Macclesfield FC. Samuel James has since joined Atherton Laburnum Rovers before joining Alsager Town. In September 2022, Samuel James joined Steeton. In January 2023, Samuel James signed for Runcorn Town.


LUIS MORRISON

On the 3rd September 2021 Macclesfield FC announced the signing of centre back Luis Morrison on a 2-year deal. Morrison began his career at Premier League giants Arsenal before completing his youth career at Stevenage. After a short spell plying his trade in Scandinavia, Morrison returned to England and played for a number of Southern based Non-League teams which included Farnborough, Maidenhead United, Hampton and Richmond, Grays and Concord Rangers. Before signing for Macclesfield Morrison also played for Altrincham, Alfreton, Nuneaton, Radcliffe and Stafford Rangers. In 2015, Morrison appeared in reality TV show Love Island. On the 7th January 2022, after 17 appearances for Macclesfield FC, it was announced that Morrison had re-joined his former club Stafford Rangers on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season. On the 15th June 2022, Luis Morrison left Macclesfield FC by mutual consent. Morrison made 17 appearances for the Silkmen, scoring once. Soon after, also on the 15th June 2022, it was announced that Luis Morrison had signed permanently for Stafford Rangers. In July 2023, Luis Morrison signed for Bury FC. On the 29th August 2023, Luis Morrison announced his retirement from football. In January 2024, Luis Morrison appeared in reality TV show Love Island: All Stars.

TOM MORRIS

On the 17th September 2021, Macclesfield FC announced that imposing centre back Tom Morris had joined the club on a non-contract basis. Before joining Macclesfield FC, Morris was a regular for Hyde United in the Northern Premier League Premier Division. Morris started his career off at Port Vale before moving to Ireland to join Longford Town. After leaving Longford Town, before his stint at Hyde, Morris also spent time at Kidsgrove Athletic, Conwy and Congleton Town. On the 21st October 2021, it was announced that Morris had joined City Of Liverpool FC. Morris made 5 appearances for Macclesfield FC before leaving the club. In November 2021, Morris signed for Cheadle Town. On the 23rd January 2022, Morris was named the new Macclesfield FC reserve team manager. On the 17th June 2022, Tom Morris signed for Stockport Town. In June 2023, Tom Morris signed for Sandbach United. In June 2024, Tom Morris signed for 1874 Northwich. In November 2025, Tom Morris signed for Wolverhampton Casuals.

BRANDON LEE

On the 30th September 2021, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of left back Brandon Lee from fellow North West Counties Premier Division side Longridge Town for an undisclosed fee. Lee signed a deal at the club until the end of the 2022/23 season. Lee started his career Blackburn Rovers and spent time at Bolton Wanderers and Chorley before signing for Longridge Town. After 21 appearances for the Silkmen, as Macclesfield FC were crowned North West Counties Premier Division champions, it was announced on the 4th April 2022, that Brandon Lee had signed a contract extension until the end of the 2023/24 season. On the 18th May 2023, it was announced that Brandon Lee had signed improved terms on his current contract. At the time of Brandon Lee’s new deal, he had appeared 61 times for Macclesfield FC, scoring 2 goals. On the 18th January 2024, it was announced that Brandon Lee had signed a new deal at Macclesfield FC. At the time of Brandon Lee’s new deal, he had appeared 91 times for Macclesfield FC, scoring 2 goals. On the 9th May 2024, it was announced that Brandon Lee had been retained by Macclesfield FC for the 2024/25 season. At this time of his new contract, Brandon Lee had featured 104 times for the Silkmen, scoring 2 goals. On the 22nd July 2024, Brandon Lee was named the Macclesfield FC Sponsor’s Player Of The Year for the 2023/24 season. On the 4th April 2025, after Macclesfield FC were crowned Northern Premier League champions with 6 matches to spare, it was announced that Brandon Lee had signed a new contract at Macclesfield FC. At the time of this new contract, Brandon Lee had made 125 appearances for Macclesfield FC, scoring 2 goals.


LEE JACKSON

On the 30th September 2021, Macclesfield FC announced that central defender Lee Jackson had joined the club on a Non-Contract basis. Jackson began his career at Stockport County before moving to Woodley Sports and then Knutsford. In 20214, Jackson moved to Congleton Town, making just under 100 appearances for the club before joining 1874 Northwich where Jackson went on to make 95 appearances for the club before joining Macclesfield. After 9 appearances for the Silkmen, with Macclesfield winning every game Jackson featured in, on the 25th March 2022, it was announced that he had signed a new deal until the end of the 2022/23 season. On the 24th May 2022, it was announced that Lee Jackson had left Macclesfield FC. Jackson made 11 appearances for the Silkmen, with Macclesfield winning every game that he featured in. On the 17th June 2022, Lee Jackson signed for Witton Albion. On the 13th August 2025, Lee Jackson joined West Didsbury & Chorlton on a dual registration deal with Witton Albion.


LOUIS DANQUAH

On the 29th October 2021, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of left sided defender Louis Danquah on a Non-Contract deal. Danquah started his career at Nottingham Forest before joining Mansfield Town. After leaving Mansfield, Danquah played for Carlton Town, Gresley Rovers, Belper Town, Stamford, Grantham and Widnes before joining the Silkmen. On the 18th December 2021, Danquah left the club by mutual consent. Danquah made two appearances for Macclesfield FC. On the 16th July 2022, Louis Danquah signed for Stalybridge Celtic. In December 2023, Louis Danquah joined Australian side FC Melbourne.

MAX KENNEDY

Although not officially announced as a Macclesfield FC first team player, Max Kennedy, a regular for the Macclesfield FC reserve team featured in the Cheshire Senior Cup against Cheadle Heath Nomads on the 2nd November 2021. On the 3rd March 2022, it was announced on the NWCFL website that Max Kennedy had joined 1874 Northwich. Ahead of the 2022/23 season, Max Kennedy signed for Knutsford FC.



TOM DEAN

On the 12th November 2021, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Tom Dean for a club record undisclosed fee. Dean started his career at Macclesfield Town before joining Mossley. As well as Mossley, before joining Macclesfield FC, Dean spent time at Buxton, FC United Of Manchester and Colne. On the 22nd January 2022, after 9 appearances for the Silkmen, it was announced that Tom Dean had left the club to re-join Colne. On the 31st August 2022, Tom Dean joined Prescot Cables. In July 2023, Tom Dean signed for Barnoldswick Town. In July 2024, Tom Dean signed for Atherton Collieries. In September 2024, Tom Dean was released by Atherton Collieries. Shortly after leaving Atherton Collieries, Tom Dean signed for Burscough. In December 2024, Tom Dean signed for City of Liverpool. In March 2025, Tom Dean signed for Daisy Hill.



LEWIS FENSOME

On the 20th January 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of highly-rated defender Lewis Fensome on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season from Lancaster City. Fensome started his career at Preston North End before joining Lancaster City in 2018. Fensome made 90 appearances for Lancaster City before joining the Silkmen. Despite being a regular the Lancaster City in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, Fensome made the decision to drop to the North West Counties to join Macclesfield FC. After 14 appearances for the Silkmen, as Macclesfield FC were crowned North West Counties Premier Division champions, it was announced on the 4th April 2022, that Fensome had signed a contract extension until the end of the 2023/24 season. On the 18th May 2023, it was announced that Lewis Fensome had signed improved terms on his current contract. At the time of Lewis Fensome’s new deal, he had appeared 58 times for Macclesfield FC, scoring 3 goals. On the 18th January 2024, it was announced that Lewis Fensome had signed a new deal at Macclesfield FC. At the time of Lewis Fensome’s new deal, he had appeared 87 times for Macclesfield FC, scoring 4 goals. On the 9th May 2024, it was announced that Lewis Fensome had been retained by Macclesfield FC for the 2024/25 season. At this time of his new contract, Lewis Fensome had featured 93 times for the Silkmen, scoring 5 goals. On the 4th April 2025, after Macclesfield FC were crowned Northern Premier League champions with 6 matches to spare, it was announced that Lewis Fensome had signed a new contract at Macclesfield FC. At the time of this new contract, Lewis Fensome had made 131 appearances for Macclesfield FC, scoring 6 goals.


MARCO FREGAPANE

Youth team player Marco Fregapane, brother of fellow Macclesfield FC defender Rocco Fregapane made his debut for the Silkmen on the 16th March 2022, appearing in the starting line up for Macclesfield FC against Northwich Victoria in the first round of the Macron Cup. Fregapane made his league debut for Macclesfield FC on the 19th March against Avro, coming off the bench in a 6-0 win for the Silkmen. On the 11th October 2022, Marco Fregapane was named on the bench for Congleton Town in their match against Burscough. There was no official announcement from Macclesfield FC however, after Fregapane’s appearance for Congleton Town it was evident that he had left the club. Marco Fregapane appeared 4 times for the Silkmen. On the 29th May 2025, Marco Fregapane signed for Cymru Premier side Connah’s Quay Nomads.


LIAM MCCOLL

Youth team player Liam McColl made his Silkmen debut off the bench for Macclesfield FC in the Silkmen’s match in the Macron Cup first round against Northwich Victoria on the 16th March 2022. McColl was a regular for the Macclesfield FC under 16 and youth sides. After impressing for the Macclesfield FC first team during the 2022/23 pre season, it was announced on the 26th July 2022, that Liam McColl had signed a first team contract at the Silkmen. On the 29th July 2022, Liam McColl joined Daisy Hill FC on loan until the end of the 2022/23 season. During the 2023/24 season, as well as playing for the Macclesfield FC youth team, Liam McColl also featured for Manchester Football League Division Two side Horwich RMI.



ZEKI FRYERS

On the 19th May 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur defender Zeki Fryers. Fryers, a former England youth international, became the Silkmen’s first signing of their 2022/23 campaign. Fryers began his career at Manchester United, featuring five times for Sir Alex Ferguson’s side before joining Belgian side Standard Liege. Fryers spent 6 months in Belgium before returning to England, signing for Tottenham Hotspur. Fryers made 7 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur before signing for Crystal Palace ahead of the 2014/15 season for an undisclosed fee. After loan spells at Rotherham United and Ipswich Town, Fryers signed a permanent deal at Barnsley in 2017. Fryers made 21 appearances for the Tykes before joining Swindon Town. Fryers left Swindon in May 2021 and went on to feature for Stockport County and Welling United in the 2021/22 season before joining Macclesfield FC. On the 4th October 2022, after only appearing 3 times for the Silkmen, Zeki Fryers left the club by mutual consent. In February 2023, Zeki Fryers signed for Swedish second tier (Superettan) side AFC Eskilstuna.


WILL BELL

On the 19th July 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of central defender Will Bell from Bootle. Bell was previously on trial with the Silkmen ahead of their 2022/23 season. Bell began his career at Morecambe and before joining Bootle, Will Bell spent time at Cymru Premier sides Bala Town, Rhyl and Colwyn Bay. Bell was offered a new deal at Bootle but rejected the deal to join the Silkmen. On the 4th October 2022, Macclesfield FC announced that Will Bell had left the club to re-join Bootle. Bell started 2 matches for the Silkmen, with a further 2 appearances coming off the bench. In November 2022, Will Bell joined Lower Breck on a dual registration deal with Bootle. In January 2023, Bell signed a permanent deal at Skelmersdale United. In July 2023, Will Bell signed for Widnes. In July 2024, Will Bell signed for Bootle. In January 2025, Will Bell signed for FC St Helens. In June 2025, Will Bell signed for Cymru Premier side Bala Town.


DAN COWAN

On the 19th July 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Dan Cowan. Cowan is no stranger to the Silkmen, beginning his career at Macclesfield Town, making 60 appearances before going on to join Stockport County. After three seasons at Stockport County, Cowan joined Guiseley and went on to spend time at Curzon Ashton and Chester before joining Buxton in January 2022. On the 28th June 2022, it was announced that Cowan had retired from football. However, only 21 days later, Cowan came out of retirement to sign for Macclesfield FC. It was announced via Director Of Football Robbie Savage that as part of the deal to bring Dan Cowan to the club, Macclesfield FC paid an undisclosed fee to Buxton, as well as agreeing a friendly ahead of the 2023/24 season. On the 6th May 2023, it was announced that Dan Cowan had been released by Macclesfield FC. Dan Cowan made 13 appearances for the Silkmen, scoring once. In June 2023, Dan Cowan signed for Ashton United. On the 23rd May 2025, Dan Cowan signed for Cymru Premier side Connah’s Quay Nomads.


JOE BUNNEY

On the 13th August 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of versatile defender Joe Bunney. Bunney started his career as a striker for Lancaster City however made a name for himself at Northwich Victoria, scoring 19 goals in 26 appearances before signing for Rochdale. Bunney spent 5 seasons at Rochdale before joining Northampton Town in 2018. Bunney made 16 appearances for Northampton Town and also spent time at Blackpool and Rochdale on loan before joining Bolton Wanderers on a permanent deal. In 2019, Bunney was involved in a car accident where he was left with a broken collarbone. After his release from Bolton Wanderers, Bunney spent time at Matlock Town, Hartlepool United, Grimsby Town and Warrington Rylands 1906 before joining the Silkmen. After 25 appearances for the Silkmen, as well as 3 goals, on the 23rd December 2022, it was announced that Joe Bunney had joined Ashton United on loan for three months. On the 1st February 2023, Joe Bunney was recalled by Macclesfield FC from his loan spell at Ashton United and immediately sent out on loan to Marine until the 1st April 2023. On the 30th March 2023, it was announced that Joe Bunney’s loan deal at Marine had been extended until the end of the 2022/23 season. On the 6th May 2023, it was announced that Joe Bunney had been released by Macclesfield FC. Joe Bunney made 25 appearances for the Silkmen, scoring 3 times. In July 2023, Joe Bunney signed for Stalybridge Celtic. On the 10th November 2023, Joe Bunney joined Workington AFC on a one-month loan deal. On the 2nd February 2024, Joe Bunney joined Northern Premier League side Hyde United on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season. On the 17th January 2025, Joe Bunney signed for Nantwich Town. On the 8th March 2025, Joe Bunney was released from Nantwich Town. In November 2025, Joe Bunney was appointed as Assistant Coach for Macclesfield FC International Academy under 19’s.


MUNGO BRIDGE

Although no official announcement from Macclesfield FC, on the 16th November 2022, former Aston Villa defender Mungo Bridge featured in the Silkmen’s Cheshire Senior Cup first round tie against Northwich Victoria. Mungo Bridge featured once for Aston Villa, as well as spending time on loan in the French Third Division with Annecy. Mungo Bridge was released by Aston Villa at the end of the 2021/22 season. At the start of the 2022/23 season, Mungo Bridge spent time on trial at League One side Bristol Rovers. In February 2023, Mungo Bridge signed for Daventry Town. Mungo Bridge appeared once for the Silkmen.

IBRAHIM BAKARE

On the 2nd December 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of defender Ibrahim Bakare after his release from National League North side Kettering Town. Bakare began his career at Morecambe, captaining the side at youth levels before moving to Cardiff City. Bakare spent time in the National League South with Weymouth on loan before joining Kettering Town on a permanent deal in October 2022. Ibrahim Bakare scored on his debut from the bench for the Silkmen in the 1.1 draw with Colne. On the 15th December 2022, Robbie Savage announced via a Facebook Live on the Official Macclesfield FC fan page that Bakare had left the club. Bakare made one appearance for the Macclesfield FC, scoring once. On the 20th January 2022, Ibrahim Bakare signed for Cheshunt FC. In March 2023, Ibrahim Bakare signed for Canadian side Vancouver FC. In February 2024, Ibrahim Bakare left Vancouver FC. On the 5th August 2024, Ibrahim Bakare signed for League Two side Cheltenham Town after a successful trial period. On the 10th October 2025, Ibrahim Bakare joined National League side Gateshead on loan until January 2026 from Cheltenham Town.


ISAAC ABANKWAH

On the 31st December 2022, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Isaac Abankwah, who joined the club on a dual registration deal with Squires Gate. Abankwah, who can play anywhere across the back line, began his career League of Ireland side Longford Town before joining Burnley. Abankwah then joined Squires Gate during the 2021/22 season before joining Macclesfield FC. On the 10th March 2023, after 1 appearance for the Silkmen, it was announced that Isaac Abankwah had joined Stockport Town. Isaac Abankwah’s dual registration with Macclesfield FC was transferred from Squires Gate to Stockport Town. On the 11th May 2023, Macclesfield FC announced their retained list ahead of the 2023/24 season. Isaac Abankwah was not noted as a player who had signed a contract at the club. Instead, Isaac Abankwah was invited back for pre-season training. On the 9th August 2023, Isaac Abankwah signed a permanent contract at Wythenshawe Town. Isaac Abankwah made one appearance for Macclesfield FC. Isaac Abankwah was named Wythenshawe Town’s Young Player Of The Season for the 2023/24 season as they were promoted from the North West Counties. On the 15th November 2024, Isaac Abankwah signed for National League North side Farsley Celtic. In July 2025, Isaac Abankwah signed for Bamber Bridge.


TOM THORPE

On the 14th February 2023, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of former Manchester United and England under 21 defender Tom Thorpe. Thorpe began his career at Manchester United and captained the side at youth levels. Tom Thorpe was capped by England at every age level from Under-16s to Under-21s and was part of the side that won the UEFA European U-17 Championships in 2010. Tom Thorpe made 1 appearance for the Manchester United first team, as well as a loan spell at Birmingham City before signing a permanent deal at Rotherham United. After loan spells at Bradford City and Bolton Wanderers, in 2017, Thorpe left Rotherham United to sign for Indian Super League side ATK. Thorpe left ATK in 2018 and before signing for Macclesfield FC, had been without a club for the past 5 seasons after stepping away from football. On the 18th May 2023, it was announced that Tom Thorpe had signed improved terms on his current contract. At the time of Tom Thorpe’s new deal, he had appeared 6 times for Macclesfield FC. On the 19th September 2023, it was announced that Tom Thorpe had been released by Macclesfield FC. During his time at the Silkmen, Tom Thorpe made 9 appearances for the club. In October 2023, Tom Thorpe signed for Stalybridge Celtic. On the 27th November 2023, Tom Thorpe was released by Stalybridge Celtic.


TEO LOPEZ

On the 28th February 2023, Teo Lopez was named on the bench for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Third Round tie against fellow Northern Premier League West Division side Runcorn Linnets. Ahead of the match it was announced that the squad for this match would be a mixture of Macclesfield FC first team, the International Academy, the Under 18 side and also players from the Macclesfield FC BTEC Academy. Teo Lopez made his first start for Macclesfield FC on the 31st October 2023 in the Silkmen’s Cheshire Senior Cup First Round penalty shootout win against Sandbach United. In August 2024, Teo Lopez signed for Sandbach United.

JEFFERSON ABREU

On the 28th February 2023, Jefferson Abreu was named in the starting line up at right back for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Third Round tie against fellow Northern Premier League West Division side Runcorn Linnets. Ahead of the match it was announced that the squad for this match would be a mixture of Macclesfield FC first team, the International Academy, the Under 18 side and also players from the Macclesfield FC BTEC Academy. In October 2023, Jefferson Abreu signed a dual registration deal with Garstang and Macclesfield FC. In August 2024, Jefferson Abreu signed a dual registration deal with Colne and Macclesfield FC. In September 2024, Jefferson Abreu’s dual registration was transferred from Colne to Longridge Town. In January 2025, Jefferson Abreu’s dual registration was transferred from Longridge Town to Darwen. On the 31st July 2025, Jefferson Abreu signed for Northwich Victoria. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Jefferson Abreu made 1 appearance.


SAM HEATHCOTE

On the 16th May 2023, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Sam Heathcote, who had recently left Northern Premier League West Division side Runcorn Linnets. Heathcote began his career as a striker for Manchester United before converting to a centre back and joining Altrincham. Heathcote made over 50 appearances for Altrincham, also spending time out on loan at Hyde United and Ramsbottom United. Before signing for West Didsbury and Chorlton in 2019, Heathcote featured for Wythenshawe Town and Widnes. During Heathcote’s time at West Didsbury and Chorlton, he made 64 appearances, scoring 37 goals. Heathcote spent the 2022/23 season at Runcorn Linnets before signing for the Silkmen. On the 9th May 2024, it was announced that Sam Heathcote had been retained by Macclesfield FC for the 2024/25 season. At this time of his new contract, Sam Heathcote had featured 45 times for the Silkmen, scoring 3 goals. On the 3rd May 2025, Sam Heathcote signed a new contract at Macclesfield FC. At the time of this new contract, Sam Heathcote had made 80 appearances for Macclesfield FC, scoring 4 goals.


KEVIN JOSHUA

On the 19th September 2023, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of towering left footed centre back Kevin Joshua on a three-month loan deal from National League side York City. Kevin Joshua began his career at Johnstown FC, before making the move to National League side Solihull Moors. Joshua earned a move to the Sky Bet Championship with West Bromwich Albion, whilst also having loan spells with Kettering Town and Waterford, before joining Scottish League One side Peterhead. Kevin Joshua joined York City in July 2023. Kevin Joshua had failed to make a competitive appearance for York City before his move to the Silkmen. On the 1st November 2023, Macclesfield FC confirmed that Kevin Joshua had returned to York City. During his time at the Silkmen, Kevin Joshua made 3 appearances. In January 2024, Kevin Joshua was released by York City and subsequently signed for Northern Irish Premier Division side Crusaders. In May 2024, Kevin Joshua was released by Crusaders. In January 2025, Kevin Joshua signed for Stratford Town. On the 15th November 2025, Kevin Joshua signed for National League North side Peterborough Sports.


FREDDIE SASS

On the 25th September 2023, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Freddie Sass on an initial one-month loan deal from National League North side Southport. Freddie Sass began his career at Macclesfield Town, featuring for the Silkmen’s youth team before making his senior debut for Egerton FC. After impressing for Egerton FC, Freddie Sass earned a move to Stalybridge Celtic. Before signing for Southport in May 2023, Freddie Sass spent time at Tadcaster Albion and AFC Mossley. After 4 appearances for Macclesfield FC, on the 29th October 2023, Freddie Sass’ loan deal was extended until the 2nd December 2023. After the expiration of his loan spell at Macclesfield FC, Freddie Sass returned to Southport. During his time at the Silkmen, Freddie Sass made 6 appearances. On the 6th January 2024, Freddie Sass signed for fellow Northern Premier League side Marine on a permanent deal from Southport. In June 2024, Freddie Sass signed for National League North side Kings Lynn Town. On the 22nd June 2025, Freddie Sass rejected a new deal at Kings Lynn Town and signed for League Two side Accrington Stanley.


TYLER BECK

On the 31st October 2023, youth team player Tyler Beck made his Macclesfield FC debut, coming off the bench in the Silkmen’s penalty shootout win against Sandbach United in the Cheshire Senior Cup First Round. Tyler Beck had regularly trained with the Macclesfield FC first team ahead of his debut for the club. As well as featuring for the Macclesfield FC youth team, Tyler Beck also featured for the Macclesfield FC International Academy, as well as dual registration deals with Garstang and Padiham. In August 2024, Tyler Beck signed for Workington AFC. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Tyler Beck made 1 appearance. In March 2025, Tyler Beck joined Padiham on a dual registration deal with Workington AFC. On the 15th May 2025, Tyler Beck was released by Workington AFC. On the 6th June 2025, Tyler Beck signed for Charnock Richard. In August 2025, Tyler Beck signed for Barnoldswick Town.

DANNY SIMPSON

On the 5th December 2023, it was announced that former Leicester City and Premier League winner Danny Simpson had been registered for Macclesfield FC ahead of their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Tranmere Rovers. Danny Simpson had not featured since his release by Championship side Bristol City in March 2022. Simpson began his career at Manchester United and spent numerous loan spells away from the club before signing for Newcastle United where he made over 100 appearances. After a short stint at Queens Park Rangers, Danny Simpson spent 5 seasons at Leicester City where he was part of the side which won the English Premier League in the 2015/16 season. After leaving Leicester City, Danny Simpson spent time at Huddersfield Town before joining Bristol City. On the 8th July 2024, Macclesfield FC announced their squad list for the 2024/25 season. Danny Simpson did not feature on this list and despite no official confirmation, it is thought that he had left the club. During his time at the Silkmen, Danny Simpson made 2 appearances. On the 27th July 2024, Danny Simpson announced his retirement from football.


HARRY LUTAKOME

On the 5th December 2023, Harry Lutakome was named in the starting line up for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Tranmere Rovers. Ahead of the match it was announced that the squad for this match would be a mixture of Macclesfield FC first team, the International Academy, the Under 18 side and also players from the Macclesfield FC BTEC Academy. Harry Lutakome, a member of the Macclesfield FC International Academy had also spent time at Alsager Town, Barnton FC, Winstanley Warriors and Squires Gate before making his debut for the Macclesfield FC first team. On the 25th July 2024, it was announced that Harry Lutakome had signed for Colne on a dual registration deal with Macclesfield FC. In August 2024, Harry Lutakome joined Newcastle Town on a dual registration deal with Macclesfield FC. In December 2024, Harry Lutakome signed for Droylsden. In September 2025, Harry Lutakome signed for Daisy Hill.


BENJAMIN JOHNS

On the 5th December 2023, Benjamin Johns made his debut off the bench for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Tranmere Rovers. Ahead of the match it was announced that the squad for this match would be a mixture of Macclesfield FC first team, the International Academy, the Under 18 side and also players from the Macclesfield FC BTEC Academy. Born in America, Benjamin Johns was a regular for the Macclesfield FC International Academy side before making his debut for the Macclesfield FC first team. On the 7th March 2024, it was announced that Benjamin Johns had signed for Latvian First Division side JFK Ventspils. During his time at the Silkmen, Benjamin Johns made 1 appearance.


DREW BAKER

On the 4th January 2024, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of defender Drew Baker from English League One side Fleetwood Town. Drew Baker featured for Manchester City, Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic at youth levels before starting his senior career at FC United Of Manchester. During the 2021/22 season at FC United Of Manchester, Drew Baker impressed, earning himself a move to Fleetwood Town. Baker made 12 appearances for Fleetwood Town, as well as spending time out on loan at Irish sides Bohemians and Waterford before signing for the Silkmen. On the 9th May 2024, Drew Baker was released by Macclesfield FC. During his time at the Silkmen, Drew Baker made 15 appearances. On the 26th July 2024, Drew Baker signed for Hyde United.


TOBIAS PEARSON

On the 30th January 2024, Tobias Pearson made his Macclesfield FC debut off the bench in the Silkmen’s Cheshire Senior Cup Quarter Final tie against League Two side Crewe Alexandra. Crewe Alexandra went on to win the match 5.2. Ahead of the match it was announced that the squad for this match would be a mixture of Macclesfield FC first team, the International Academy, the Under 18 side and also players from the Macclesfield FC BTEC Academy.


DAN LAFFERTY

On the 14th March 2024, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of experienced central defender Dan Lafferty from Northern Premier League rivals FC United Of Manchester. Dan Lafferty began his footballing career at Radcliffe before joining Atherton Collieries in 2016. After 7 seasons at Atherton Collieries, in August 2023, Dan Lafferty joined Bury FC before joining FC United Of Manchester in November 2023, being an ever-present in their side before joining the Silkmen. During his time at Atherton Collieries, he was managed by Michael Clegg (at the time of signing with Macclesfield FC, Clegg was the current Macclesfield FC manager). On the 9th May 2024, Dan Lafferty was released by Macclesfield FC. During his time at the Silkmen, Dan Lafferty made 10 appearances, scoring 1 goal. On the 19th June 2024, Danny Lafferty signed for Stalybridge Celtic. On the 5th September 2024, Dan Lafferty joined Atherton Collieries in an Assistant Manager/ Player role. On the 30th December 2025, Danny Lattery was named Manager of Atherton Collieries.


KAYDEN HUGHES

On the 28th March 2024, Macclesfield FC announced the loan signing of Kayden Hughes from League One side Fleetwood Town. Kayden Hughes signed a loan deal at the Silkmen until the end of the 2023/24 season. Kayden Hughes progressed through the youth team at Fleetwood Town and at the time of his loan signing to Macclesfield FC, was the captain of Fleetwood Town under 18’s. Kayden Hughes hadn’t made a senior appearance before signing for Macclesfield FC. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Kayden Hughes made 2 appearances for the Silkmen.


LUCAS HILL

On the 27th April 2024, Macclesfield FC under 19 defender Lucas Hill made his debut for the Macclesfield FC first team. Ahead of the match, it was announced that due to the club’s qualification for the Northern Premier League Play Offs, that the team on the 27th April 2024, in their match against Whitby Town would be a mixture of First Team Players, Youth Players and also players from the Macclesfield FC International Academy. Lucas Hill started the match as Macclesfield FC went on to lose 0.2 to Whitby Town in their Northern Premier League match up.


SCOTT HOLDING

On the 19th July 2024, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of defender Scott Holding after his departure from Championship side Watford. Scott Holding began his career at Manchester United before coming through the youth ranks at Stockport County. Scott Holding joined Ashton United on loan in November 2021, before making his first team debut for Stockport County in January 2022. In May 2022, Holding joined Watford for an undisclosed fee. During the 2022/23 season, Scott Holding featured for Stalybridge Celtic on loan. During the 2023/24 season, Scott Holding spent a season long loan spell at National League South side Dover before his release from Watford. After 2 appearances for Macclesfield FC, on the 23rd August 2024, it was announced that Scott Holding had joined Northern Premier League West Division side Wythenshawe Town on a 1-month loan deal. On the 15th October 2024, Scott Holding signed for Warrington Rylands. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Scott Holding made 2 appearances.


BASIT YUSUFF

On the 6th August 2024, it was announced that Macclesfield FC youth team player Basit Yusuff had been called up into the senior squad ahead of Macclesfield FC’s 2024/25 season. Before his call up for the Macclesfield FC first team squad, Basit Yusuff had impressed as a regular starter for the Macclesfield FC International Academy side. During the 2022/23 season, Basit Yusuff spent time at Wythenshawe Amateurs and Alsager Town. In the 2023/24 season, Basit Yusuff featured for Daisy Hill. During the 2024/25 pre season, Basit Yusuff featured as a left back for the Macclesfield FC first team, however had previously featured more as an attacking winger when playing for the Macclesfield FC International Academy. On the 3rd September 2024, it was announced that Basit Yusuff joined Colne on a dual registration deal with Macclesfield FC. In November 2024, Basit Yusuff featured for Longridge Town. In December 2024, Basit Yusuff appeared for Wythenshawe FC. On the 17th July 2025, it was announced that Basit Yusuff had signed for Charnock Richard. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Basit Yusuff made 1 appearance. On the 11th December 2025, Basit Yusuff signed for Northwich Victoria.


CASIMIR EJIANREH

On the 5th November 2024, Casimir Ejianreh was named in the starting line up for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Northern Premier League West Division side Stalybridge Celtic. On the 5th November 2024, Ian Schultz was named on the bench for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Northern Premier League West Division side Stalybridge Celtic. ROLLIN MENAYESE

On the 17th January 2025, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of defender Rollin Menayese after his departure from National League side Aldershot Town. Capped for Wales at under 17’s, Rollin Menayese began his career at Cardiff City before joining Weston Super Mare. After impressing for Weston Super Mare, Menayese joined Bristol Rovers, spending 3 seasons at the club, which included loan moves to Swindon Town and Aldershot Town during that time. In July 2020, Rollin Menayese signed for Mansfield Town. After only 6 months at Mansfield Town, Rollin Menayese joined Grimsby Town before joining Walsall on a season long loan the season after. After impressing during his loan spell, Menayese signed a permanent deal at Walsall, spending time out on loan at Hartlepool United and Aldershot Town before signing permanently at Aldershot Town ahead of the 2024/25 season. On the 5th January 2025, it was announced that Rollin Menayese had been released by Aldershot Town, before going on to sign for Macclesfield FC 12 days later. On the 4th April 2025, after Macclesfield FC were crowned Northern Premier League champions with 6 matches to spare, it was announced that Rollin Menayese had signed a new contract at Macclesfield FC. At the time of this new contract, Rollin Menayese had made 10 appearances for Macclesfield FC, scoring 1 goal.


JOSEF YARNEY

On the 7th July 2025, Macclesfield FC announced that Josef Yarney had become John Rooney’s first signing as Macclesfield FC manager. Josef Yarney joined Macclesfield FC after rejecting a new deal at National League side Boreham Wood. Josef Yarney began his career at Everton before joining Newcastle United. During his time at Newcastle United, Yarney spent time out on loan at Morecambe and Chesterfield before signing a permanent deal at Chesterfield. After leaving Chesterfield, Josef Yarney spent a short period at Weymouth before moving to Indian side RoundGlass Punjab. In January 2023, Josef Yarney returned to England to sign for Oldham Athletic. After only six months at Oldham Athletic, Josef Yarney rejected a new contract to join Tranmere Rovers. At the end of the 2023/24 season, Josef Yarney was released by Tranmere Rovers and subsequently signed for Palestinian side Hilal Al-Quds Club. In February 2025, Josef Yarney returned to England and signed for Boreham Wood where he helped them win promotion to the National League before rejecting a new deal to sign for Macclesfield FC ahead of the 2025/26 season. On the 26th November 2025, it was announced that Josef Yarney had left Macclesfield FC by mutual consent. During his time at Macclesfield FC, Josef Yarney made 7 appearances.


LUKE MATHESON

On the 26th July 2025, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of right back Luke Matheson after his release from League One side Bolton Wanderers at the end of the 2024/25 season. Luke Matheson began his career at Rochdale before signing for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers for £1 million in January 2020. Luke Matheson failed to make an appearance for Wolverhampton Wanderers and had loan spells at Rochdale, Ipswich Town, Hamilton Academical and Scunthorpe United before joining Bolton Wanderers on a permanent deal. Before his release from Bolton Wanderers, Luke Matheson had loan spells at League of Ireland side Bohemians and National League North side Alfreton Town before signing for Macclesfield FC.


LUIS LACEY

On 14 August 2025, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of versatile left sided defender Luis Lacey following his release from National League North side Curzon Ashton at the end of the 2024/25 season. Luis Lacey began his career at Barnsley before joining Tranmere Rovers. Luis Lacey spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Welsh side Flint Town where he was named in the 2023/24 JD Cymru North Team Of The Season before joining Curzon Ashton on a permanent deal after his release from Tranmere Rovers. Before joining Macclesfield FC, Luis Lacey impressed during a trial period with the club, earning himself a contract.


AARRON GREWAL

On the 18th November 2025, Aarron Grewal was named in the starting line up for Macclesfield FC in their Cheshire Senior Cup Second Round tie against Northern Premier League West Division side Congleton Town. JACK ROGERS

On the 25th November 2025, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of Jack Rogers on loan from League One side Wigan Athletic until the 27th December 2025. Jack Rogers, capable of playing in the centre of defence or central midfield, began his career at Burnley, captaining their Under 18 side before being released at the end of the 2023/24 season. After his departure from Burnley, Jack Rogers signed for Wigan Athletic. Before joining Macclesfield FC on loan, Jack Rogers had appeared once for Wigan Athletic and was captain for their Under 21 side. During his loan spell at Macclesfield FC, Jack Rogers made 1 appearance.


CAMERON BORTHWICK-JACKSON

On the 6th January 2026, Macclesfield FC announced the signing of left sided defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson began his career for Manchester United, making 10 appearances for the club, as well as spending time out on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, Scunthorpe United, Tranmere Rovers and Oldham Athletic before signing a permanent deal at Oldham Athletic. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson spent a season at Oldham Athletic before signing for Burton Albion. After two seasons at Burton Albion, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson moved to Polish Ekstraklasa side Śląsk Wrocław. During the 2023/24 season, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson signed for Scottish Premiership side Ross County before his release from Śląsk Wrocław. Before signing for Macclesfield FC, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson had been without a club since his release from Śląsk Wrocław on the 10th August 2024.
